私の工房に訪ねて来た外国の方も抹茶のサプライヤーを探していると言っていましたが、天草で抹茶を生産している茶農家はないので紹介は出来ませんでした。
取引のある埼玉県のお茶専門店にも外国人が「抹茶なら何でもいいから、有るだけ買いたい」と言って来るそうです。母国に持ち帰って転売するのでは？と言っていました。
お茶専門店として長い取引がある業者に注文しても必要な量を確保出来ないそうです。

I heard from a tea specialty store in Saitama, with which I do business, that even there, foreigners have been coming in saying, “I’ll take any matcha you have, as much as possible.” They suspect these people are reselling the matcha in their home countries.
Even when this tea store places orders with long-time business partners, they say it’s difficult to secure the amount they need.
