I am located in Amakusa, on the western edge of Kumamoto Prefecture, which itself is in the western part of Japan's Kyushu island.
It takes about two hours by car from either Kumamoto Airport or Kumamoto Station, and there are no train lines in this area. The only available public transportation is the Sanko Bus.
Amakusa is known for its Christian heritage, Amakusa pottery stone, Shimoda hot springs, and dolphin watching—but I am not involved in any of those.
Let me start by introducing “Stone Workshop Yoshida.”
The workshop was founded about 20 years ago and is currently operated next to my home, where I handcraft and sell coffee stone mills and matcha stone mills online.
We ship not only within Japan but also internationally in recent years.
As for our “Guesthouse Stone Workshop Yoshida,” we obtained the official license under the Inns and Hotels Act and started operations at the beginning of this year. However, since we only offer accommodation without meals, we have received no bookings so far.
In the next message, I will share more detailed information about each of these businesses.
